let me dig your knife out of my side... nice pointless attack there.

I had the measurements and lost the link over a year ago. I am not pulling it out of my ass. I am sorry that I did not write this down in a text file with links and quotes. I am sorry I did not send said document to Chris Taylor so he can verify it for you. I am sorry you are not on my top list of priorites.

I am sorry that you have to climb up my ass because you have to get every fact verified, duplicated, approved in triplicate, notarized by a one eye gypsy on the solstice of a leap year on the grave of your brother's sister's pet goldfish's death site.

Yes, entirely different. what we are talking about is an alpha mask.

Heh. As long and drawn out as that was, it was still funny.

P.S. I am on your side.

I've had problems with people misinterpreting my comments (azu), so I figured this was a safe bet.

I always though the K-bots were more like the cargo loder unit in Aliens then say...a battlemech from Battletech.

http://www.planetannihilation.com/gunda ... _01_05.gifForgive the shot it is a very old version of my mod.

Note the cars... note that the pyramidical buildings are 3 stories tall somewhere in the fiction the commander sized somewhere around 3 or was it two stories.. I am pretty sure it was 3. Either way at the time I knew. see the lane size? ~2 footprints.. the comander is two footprints same as the mechs pictured.

The feature scale of OTA is fairly consistent. because there is A scale :P

Ok... basically... my call on this is that scale should be whatever we want it to be. The problem with the scale that Smoth et al have declared is that it doesn't gibe with the scale of the Spring grass, which in turn isn't to-scale with the trees, which in turn isn't really to scale with map features- if we're going off the scale of the grass, for example, then the average Kbot is about 1 foot high (or a third of a meter) or so. If we go by the trees, then they're much closer to Smoth's scales.

So, the only way for this all to make some sense is for the scale of either the grass or the trees to be increased/decreased. That'll give us a "standard scale", which would be nice...

I play without grass, as unlike in Oblvion, it looks bad. Really bad, in my opinon. I prefer nonterrestrial maps, after all. Martian battlfeilds, windsweapt wastelands and desserts are much more interesting to me.

Hell i'd rather play on a gigantic chess bord, for that matter  As if that were ever going to happen

Not half as pointless as you raising your ridiculous scale dogma at every oopportunity even when it is entirely irrelevant. :|

The fact that you haven't admitted his correctness and conformed to the standard makes it perpetually relevant.

I still think the cargo-loder scale from Alien's is cooler. Why? Because that cargo loder was cool, and for some reason the K-bots LOOK man sized. They don't look like they should be 30 feet tall, they look like they should be 10 or 8 feet tall. Its some gut reason...in my gut.

Peh. see the comm is about 30-40 feet tall.. I really wish I could find the textual information that I verified this with.

Image

so then we look at it from the front... assuming a 6 foot tall man.

Because cars on an alien world are of course, made for human-sized drivers.

I think the idea that a peewee is already a giant mech is awfull, it should be a bit taller then a human in order to have good urban maps, who cares about all this semi-proof.
