I miss Mech Warrior 2 D: the only version I have is the one that came bundled with a 3D Rage card...and only works on said card.

Humm.......................

Post by TA 3D »

Well someone should bring it back, as seeing the Madcat is a meduim-light mech, whereas the Timber Wolf is a Meduim-heavy mech. You cant put that strong of armor or weapons on the Madcat. It's just way to puny, weak, and useless. BRING BACK THE BEAST!!!!!

Well playing it in 3rd person view feels kind of like mw2 in some ways. Timberwolf, is the clan's name for the mech wile mad cat is what the innersphere given the name to the mech of the 'unkown invasion forces'.

I wish I could find some classic battle tech fans, that could help out with the mod in the vision of a RTS in the BT universe in large scales, and not the butchered crap the wizkids and MS pumped out over the last few years.

I'v got the BattleTech Technical Readouts 3025 3026 3050 3055 3057 3058 3060 as well as other FASA BT books and can provide accurate info on the many Mechs, Battlearmor, Vehicles, Dropships, Jumpships, warships, air/aerospace craft, personal equipment... and some level 3 stuff (X pulse lasers, ER Pulse lasers, ICE mechs)

Down with junk!

Post by TA 3D »

I've played MW2 and the Timberwolf(AKA-Madcat) is a whole lot stonger, bigger, heavyer, and can take beifer weapons and more junk. The Madcat from MW3 and forgive me for saying MW4 is like a puny little tin can.

By the way how did "Microsoft ever get the rights to MW?"

Bring back the beasts from the past in their glory.

Oh Bobthedinosaur, aren't you working on a mechwars mod? Could you make the ppc(I think thats what it was called: the super blue-ball energy weapon), and put it in the Marader model(I think the Marader IIAC from MW2) and test it in game. I love to see that weapons power again.

well i have the marauder IIC and the ppc weapon is in many units already, buts its the CBT version which is actualy a crappy blue looking lightning bolt instead of a blue ball of energy from the mw2 series games.

Hi, nice....
include some front mission 3/front mission 4 gameplay aspect to... such as
Partial damage (hull damage when reach max will disable entire aspect, hull partial damage will disable hull weapon/jamming system or reducing sight , left hand damage will disable the left hand's weapon.. same case with right hand, and leg damage will immobilize the unit)..... plus multi speed (mini wheeled mode in urban warfare/smoothe terrain).... Sure pilot eject feature will even better .... and twentysome special move such as 'double shot' and ROFUP (Rate of fire up 1,3x) as well as zoom-I (TI zoom improve accuracy) etc etc

Now its time to run and cry to spring developer

If I may add my two cents worth: PLEASE do not shortchange the little guys of Battletech! You see hardly any vehicles, infantry, or planes (think Alacorn, Sulla, Avar, Manticore, Asshur, Gnome and other battle armor) in the Mechwarrior games. Mechs get all the glory there and I think it's a shame.

also I'd love to help, but it'd be advisory and small stuff, because having responsibilities makes me... not so responsible

They're the same mech. One is what the Inner Sphere knows them as, the other is what the Clanners call them. I hope you were tired or drugged when posting that.

Thread Rez!

The 'Madcat' was never ever a medium-light mech. It's always been a Timberwolf, you heathen :P , and its always been a heavy mech.
