That's all in the X series and its successors. X was only OP after you get a lot of upgrades, without those he was the worst character in X8 IMO.[Krogoth86] wrote:Well I really liked things like the wall-jumping and air-dashing. In addition to that I enjoyed the three different characters in X8 which really played different although X was OP imo...
Huh? Zero is the hardest series. Megaman 2 (though not 1) and Megaman X are total pushovers in comparison.Well the Zero games are pretty good if you don't keep blaming the visual style of it all the time. The difficulty is about between the X series and the classic one and has some nice concepts too...
That's a very minor element. Sure, it's annoying (ZX Advent made it better by having most areas be reached via teleport or integrate into the world map, it also got rid of the stupid "take the mission or you can't beat the boss, beat the mission or you can't keep your progress" rules) but most of the time you won't remember it's there because you're busy getting through the levels. The Metroidvania approach just can't be combined with levels like that... Either go completely "nonlinear" or completely linear.I bought the first ZX game and was pretty curious how it would be but imo it turned out as total crap and I quit playing it very fast. It has an "open world" and with that a lot of boring and pointless exploration and searching for the goddamn right entrance to the region you want to go to. I just want being beamed into the level I want to go to and that's it and not running back and forth for hours...
