It's working out fine, actually.ralphie wrote:The whole "guns for everyone" thing really seems to be working out for America

in many cases pain can cause heightened enjoyment (see chick scratching your back during sex ^_^ for an example) or, for some people, the pain can BE the enjoymentneddiedrow wrote:Generally, yes. Willpower lends you a lot of leeway. In the arena of pain, however, sexual thoughts apparently allow you to increase your capacity for it temporarily, according to some recent research.
Then you would have inbred idiots with guns and no-one else to stop them besides the corrupt authorities. Not good.Zpock wrote:A good middle ground would be to have an armed nobility, just like they did in the good old days. Then you mostly get rid of the idiots with guns problem.
People with experience about firearms should be the only ones allowed to talk about it.Criminals and rednecks who use guns should be the only ones allowed to talk about it, I agree.
That's pretty much the system in here, every gun is registered and you have to have a reason to have a permit to own a gunI think there should be some regulation. If you've had a history of being prone to violent rage that causes you to not think clearly, you don't need a permit for a gun, even if you can fire one properly.
Yeah, I messed up. It should read:Sangue wrote:I'm assuming you made a typo in there and really meant "If they can think of a good reason not to allow..", but at any rate, they do allow some people to carry a permit that don't necessarily deserve the right.Decimator wrote:Sangue, that's basically what the "shall issue" laws are like though. If they can't think of a good reason not to allow you to have a concealed carry permit, you can't get one. I think "not even a year old" would qualify.
But I do realize things such as the shootings in schools don't come from people who actually own guns, but from individuals who have swiped guns from parents or other family members.
Some people just equate a gun with a sense of supreme power. It's as if the thrill of holding the fear of death over someone surges through them.
Really, it's people like these that make me cringe when it comes to gun purchases/ownership.
I agree that there should be some form of mandatory training, if not a psych evaluation for some people.
Fixed it in the original post.Sangue, that's basically what the "shall issue" laws are like though. If they can't think of a good reason not to allow you to have a concealed carry permit, you can get one. I think "not even a year old" would qualify.
You don't. A burler on your property has clear ill intent, you're simply granted the right to protect yourself and your family. The burglar forfeit's his right to protection by the state when he undertakes an act of aggression against another person, and he does not regain his right until he has rescinded his presence from the property of his victim.Sleksa wrote:From my perspective i see no reason for civilians to posess firearms other than as a hunting/sport equipment.
As a standard, a man committing a burglary does not deserve a death sentence,IMO. So why should you be allowed to act as a judge in a burglary situation?
