I'm going to guess... What is the reason why it's worth it to scout Trebek?

* Dont try to defend against ever single way you can get attacked. There are way to many if you think well, and you will need to either porc like hell or make weak defense for each thing. Concentrate just in the main attack forms and maybe keep some mobile units in base.

*Dont make a attack you dont think that will succed. Even if it weakens the enemy a bit, it will give him the metal of your wrecks and make him richer on the overall.

*MAKE RADAR! Most people dont have idea of how usefull seeing where enemy stuff is can be. Its not only good for artillary, but it also allows you to know that an attack is coming and get ready, what is extremelly usefull to defend against raids and flanks. It also allows you to know where the enemy frontline is so you dont send your expander builder in a suicidal mission and can tell him to start making defenses to stop their expansion.

Your economy's size is only seen in comparison to your opponent's economy, raiding is simply growing your own economy by slowing down your opponents.

Thats not how it works on ffa. You are actual reducing the economy of one enemy :)

*DONT RAID ON FFA! If you do, you will just be wasting your resources and damaging one enemy while the others grow. You will finish up bringing you 2 down.

True. That is why FFA and Springs infinite resource model don't mix well, imho.

edit: FFA in Kernel Panic is great though, as it has no resources. 8)

I love FFAs. The rule is to hurt all your foes equally, or minimize the cost of all events while building up for a murderous blow.

In my experience, the only valid FFA stat is to greenfield it up and hope you don't get attacked first. In a 3way FFA for example, if one guy makes an all-out attack on a second guy, the third guy will always win. But if he attacks two guys at the same time, he stands no chance, and his units will simply become metal for the other players war machine.

Try 3 ffa on desert triad. Reclaimable rocks, exposed metal in the middle, and contestable geos, combined with the small size of the map, make it a very good ffa imo.

Of course, FFAs are generally a lot better in the games which are not derivatives of TA. Gundam screams for them, E&E can handle them well, and Kernel Panic... welll...

Tbh i think games without metal makers would encourage even more porc in ffa, as you really dont want to launch a failed attack and hand your enemy the corpse metal. Also, EE nukes....

It's true : FFA are random but that's not a reason to say FFA to be pointless and crap. and if u count the number of victory u can find the best player ...

Manored win lot of time, im not sure its only random :D

Its randow but doesnt means you cant increase your chances by playing well :) . I think the best tactic for ffa is literally porcing like mad and trying to call the less attention possible and then spam nukes/krogoths and unleash Armaggedon over the foolish guys who have been fighting each other until now.

I dont really win much. Im yet to find the perfect building forces organization that works in ever situation, but im getting close! :)

Kernel panic haves time as resource. If you waste time making raids instead of making builders you will lose.

Free for all games are not random, actually. They are dependent upon interaction with the other players, however. The fact that most do not touch upon the diplomatic aspect does not mean it doesn't exist.

In the FFAs I played, the diplomacy amounted to everyone saying "KILL BEEFOFAGES" and everybody being ignored.
