If their was not one then, dont answer or tell me theirs not, dont hust post the dumb comment that I already know.
You asked for an easy method, and notepad is the easiest way since it's already installed on about every PC, and since it's so simple to use.
To make FBI, generic text editors are better because:
- Since they're generic, they've been used on large scale already / have been comptley debugged / are backed by large commericial entities / have been refined for years / whatever, which means they are more powerful and efficient and bug free and etc.. than a free fan-made FBI specific editor.
- You might already be accustomed to using a certain text editor, and so will save on the learning how to operate it.
- They give you the freedom to write anything, such as comments for yourself, or newest Spring tag implemented one hour ago, etc... If there was a FBI specific editor that knew the list of tags, it wouldn't be able to use new FBI tags, which are constantly added to Spring source.
You said you knew unit stats are in the FBI, but you never said that you knew that FBI were simple text file, that you can read and edit without any specific editor.
Therefore, KDR_11k answer was not lame. It was perfectly accurate, relevant, and informative. You, however, are the lame one, for refusing to acknowledge that AFAIK even the bestest modders only use basic text editord to edit their FBI.
I personnaly edit all my FBI with notepad, with only an extremely small amount of UltraEdit32 when I need to do a "replace in all files". Like I said, a FBI specific editor would only bring me more trouble, restriction, and complication.
