Hmm... I am starting to think it's definately AAI... KAI 0.22 doesn't crash, even though it is a lot less updated. Something in AAI is causing the problem methinks.

AAI always crashes in latest svn regardless of what Commander is used. It crashed for me with mobile commanders, too.

Hmm. Well, I've tried the stacktrace translator, maybe that'll help us figure out what's up. It runs just fine for awhile, then crashes at random.

I've just tried out KAI 0.22 for awhile... it eventually crashes, but it takes a lot longer before it does. I'm really not sure what's up, yet.

Looks like AAI doesn't crash svn Spring anymore. Tested with svn rev. 3815, had 2 quite long AAI vs AAI games without any crashes.

AAI crashes for me if I use LUA widgets. I can start a game and activat the widgets once in, but if I try to start the game with widgets already activated i just get a big old stacktrace and a crash

Same for me. I can start a game if I disable LuaUI first though.

I get errors trying to use the AAI built into the latest release on Linux. I also can't find the log file it claims its outputting to - likely because it's not going to the writable data directory (which is not where the AI file is).

The built in KAI works, though, so I'm not sure what the problem is.

edit: ah hah, it's due to no config file for Balanced Annihilation.

The built in KAI is broken, it never attackes as such. it responds to your units entering its LOS only. if you never attack KAI it will never attack you.
