Why does spring crash if it's not called spring.exe? This makes keeping several versions a pain.

The exe name doesn't matter too much, just look at MiniSpring.exe.

It's the different versions of the DLLs and such that are likely causing your problems with multiple copies.

This doesn't explain it, if I change the name to anything including "MiniSpring.exe" it crashes, if I change it back it doesn't.

so when is buggis stuff going to be ported to the newer .60 version?
errm what io mean is im having problems with the last release and weapons models still showing up as the little yellow blobs :/

From what I've found, the following things must be true for a custom model to show up:

-The weapon must be lineofsight=1;
-The weapon cannot be ballistic=1;
-The weapon must have smoketrail=1;
-The weapon must have the model= tag
-The weapon cannot be a laser (in the normal sense of lasers in the game)

That's just from my experience though.

HOLY shit...5000 views :o :shock:

Anyway, I discovered a bug while playing TA:WD in minspring, when the bradley tries to load it self, it disapears! probably due to trying to load it self!

Also there is a strange bug that UAV's on patrol "drive" over the ground :!:

I ran into a similar bug using SWTA's LAAT transport.

Except that I wasn't attempting to load itself, I was simply unloading a bunch of stormtroopers. The unit disappeared (along with the storm troopers), both visually and on the minimap. However, at that point, a dot on the map in my colour appeared at the edge of the map, and made its way to the point where the LAAT was previously, although nothing was visible. Selecting all LAATs and then cycling through them did select the invisible LAAT, but I was unable to issue orders.

This was not using minispring, though.

I'm working on new builds that include the scaring as well as any new fixes SY decides to impliment. :)

Hammering on SharpMap too... oy!

I could think of an ETA, but it would be mearly guess work. :)

I'm not JUST implimenting the new format, I'm also trying to impliment the feature system. And thinking of a way to programatically create the SMD file. :-D

I took a look at it seems nice actually. I think the scars should fade a little faster, but who am I to decide that? Like I know how fast war battle scars fade... :)

OMG, what have they done to the missiles?
They look like flying racoons with those bushy puff of smoke wobbling around...
(please say this is an error, as terasques cvs build doesnt have them...)

edit:
and some constructive criticism: Minipring doesnt correctly show the footprints of many buildings. This causes, for example, that if you build a row of big bertas with shift-dragging, the 3rd one wont be build...

Also, its possible to build, for example, k-bot next to each other. They both build without problems, but cannot produce units until there is a free row between them.
