I've started a slightly different look feel for a icon, but the same Idea. I'll post mine too once I'm done.

edit:
hm. maybe we should start a different thread specifically for the logo?

Latest trunk should be able to load the unitsync lib if paths and stuff are set in the Spring options. Does anyone have problems loading unitsync?

seems to work

Post by cowking »

It seems to work with my own compiled unitsync.so. Atast no errors. Hope you'll add support for playing soon ;)

I don't dare give any date when that will be possible :-) If i don't run into any more walls ( but I probably will ) you should be able to play with it within a month I think... hopefully :-)

If somenoe wants to write a script.txt generator class it will probably be faster ;-)

well, here was my idea...

The colors don't look that great...maybe I'll fix that.

I guess the concept was what I wanted to show more. More of a military theme as opposed to a happy-go-lucky theme.

One thing I like about a happy-go-lucky theme is that it makes me in a good mood and it looks more casual. The military version looks too serious imo. While Spring is a "military" game I think people shouldn't be too serious about it and just play it for fun. The happy-go-lucky theme also stands for user friendlyness wich is one of my main goals with SpringLobby.

Spring isnt a game its a game engine, and not all the games that use it are military. And not all military uses green cammo. For example KDR's lolli mod

Moderator commands don't seem to work.

I seem to be unable to talk in pm conversations.

FoeOfTheBee: The moderator commands are not implemented yet and pm's are still not fully implemented :(

Those things will be fixed when joining battles work. Hopefully soon :-)

Edit: Added a ticket for the admin commands on trac

Lefty: That code is very an much early outline of a pre pre pre alpha version of that feature, and is still untested :-) Test it again tomorrow, I'm gonna have an allnighter with the code tonight :-) And hopefully I will be able to play Spring again for the first time in months!

Edit: Not playable yet, but one step closer.

Brain Damage: I can't take all the credit, it's very much thanks to AF for helping me with the script generating stuff.

Btw, I have recived numerous requests to fix the /join command and I'm now happy to inform that it's now implemented :-) /j in an alias. Both "/j #channel" and "/j channel" works.

Could someone test if it works with passworded channels? I don't have access to any passworded channels to test it on :-) The syntax would be "/j channel password".

Nice job fixing the /join commands! :-)

Passworded channels don't work, though:

Code: Select all

!! Command: "JOINFAILED" params: "/j Bad channel name!".
using /join CHANNEL PASSWORD
