I like maintaining strategic diversity between vehicles and kbots - each with a unique advantage. Giving kbots more AA would further erode this, and I think we need more diversity not less.

However it seems very counter intuitive that kbots can't have an advanced AA. I mean if you can build a flak gun and stick it on a wheeled base, why on earth couldn't you also build one and stick it on a robot base.....

So I support giving kbots level 2AA if something else is taken off them, or if vehicles are given something new to avoid a game balance of kbots only ftw.

So what you guys want, is for all players that go Kbot, to spend all the money that they don't have into building 2 more factories just so they can have halfassed antiair?

The anti-air kbots I'm designing, oh-so-slowly, are not going to replace vehicle anti-air. They will basically be a moderately upgraded version of a jethro, probably just barely cost-effective. It will be mostly for the purpose of making it so you can get anti-air even if your L1 factory has been destroyed, and other... such... reasons... and stuff.......

Well, even if it's just 4 Jethros in one bot it will be handy - hordes of L1 units can be a nuisance to manage in a large battle. Personally I'd like it better if it had more personality - arming it with the antiswarmer missiles would be neat. But anything's good really.

Oh-hoooo

Cool, I hate the fact I need 10 jethros/crashers for killing a couple bombers I would need 3 if that was the case :P

That'd be cool. And different enough from the flak trucks that both would have uses.

I think this will make everyone happy, you guys can stick to kbots and air is still usable.

Yeah, that too - you'll need fewer of them, so less micromanagement.

It'll be like...

3x firepower
3.15x costs
3.3x hp
1x by 1y larger size

Will the missiles be special-purpose in anyway (swarming/fast/accurate like the antiswarmer, or antibomber damage, or large blast radius like the flak & screamer, or superheavy + low ROF like the screamer)? Or just a general all-around SAM like the L1 unit?

Hah, so true, I can't agree with you enough, cuz if people don't take a step out of the realm they believe in and try something else, their realm will shrink, until they are the only thing in it.....

Basically, people should try new shit
