I think I have everything working, but it is difficult to test. I can tell that units will close to be able to attack with their primaries, but the mods I have (AA, XTA, SWTA) do not have any units with a limited arc primary and a secondary weapon. I would like to be able to test the rotation part before I submit it for approval.

Wouldn't it be a lot easier and more flexible to just have the "optimal attack vector" be defined by the modder? Auto-calculated stuff always limits the modder, look at the code that calculates missiles' TTL based on range and speed for proof.

try it with gundam, many units have only a 180 degree front arc. Actually the magella tank built in the zeon airport has a 20 degree fron arc.

ok, but which ones also have a secondary weapon that have a larger (or different) fire arc? That is what I really need to be able to test. AA has some limited arced weapons, but they don't have secondary weapons (mobile annihilator).

the whitebase(fedcom) front and side arcs... also the Gallop transport has a weapon that fires out of it's rear arc.

Otherwise name what you need and I can make a test unit for you.

The guncannon is exactly what I want. The laser (weapon 2) can fire behind it while the rocket only has a frontish arc.

Is there any way I could get an EXE compiled with this fix for testing?

I, too, would like to see this, if you have a patched Spring.exe for us to beta-test. It would have a pretty profound effect on NanoBlobs's gameplay balance, among other things.
