error with wav file in AA...game quits after i start

Post by krogtaar »

right when i click start(i'm hosting) it starts loading, then quits. an error box says:" button9.wav couldn't open wav file" another says "sound error couldnt create sound buffer"

is there something i can do to disable the sound alltogether to get around this? It's a fresh install of everything btw, still get it

Have you changed the name of any of the mod files?
Because the same thing happened to me when i tried to fiddle with some of the values of AA and one of the file names got changed.

I get this same error now with 0.74b1 and AA, BA and others. NanoBlobs 0.64 seems to start fine.

EDIT: I found the error. SVN or new linux data package doesnt include these files:
spring/base/otacontent.sdz
spring/base/tatextures_v062
spring/base/tacontent_v2.sdz

I copied those from my old 0.73b1 directory.
