unfortunately no ... but for now yes it's free (timelimited)...

but if you don't have $ to pay Havok3 ... this can be option ...

they have education licences also ...

anyway for pricing it's prolly better write to sales@meqon.com
rest depends on discussion ...

Mixing non-FOSS code with FOSS code usually results in some legal headaches and zealous flame wars... The safest bet is to stick to GPL'd material. IIRC there's several amazing physics libraries available under the GPL, including the one used in that crazy block stacking game who's name escapes me at the moment.

Why not just use the NovodeX Physics SDK??? It├óÔé¼Ôäós from the makers of that PPU and it has multiprocessor support. It appears to be free and a lot of big games like unreal 3 are using it and it will support the Ageia PPU.

It's free as in "free beer", not "free speech", which is not sufficient to qualify for integration in a free (open source, "free speech" free) program.

With a little tweaking, ODE (Open Dynamics Engine) could suffice, if rigid body dynamics is good enough for the needs of the project.

As for the physics SDK used in Bontago, it's Tokamak and is available globally on the same terms as NovodeX, ie. not really free either, just no-cost-for-certain-purposes.

Hey don├óÔé¼Ôäót knock free beer. I love free beer at least you really feel like you are getting something, as apposed to free speech which tends to be a lot of hot air.

Yes, but getting free beer doesn't come with the untold possibility of having to regurgitate it into the glass if the barman changes his mind :)

And as for free software tending to be a lot of hot air... The phenomenon is called "vaporware", and has existed as long as software of any kind has. ;)

well this was just hint there exist something else than Havok, Newton Game Dynamics, Novodex, Tokamak, TrueAxis, ODE and some else i forget already ...

everyone got option to choose best one for him ...
