IceXuick, there are still lots of things you can work on right now..
There needs to a be a .scheme file that spring can load, and a single spring.layout which would contain the entire ingame interface.
Converting your concept into a skin is also a lot of work.
Take a look at Marti Skin if you want an example of how to get a CEGUI falagard skin working.
I'm not yet sure about how much of the layout can be done using XML. You probably want to test your skin, so you would still be making a layout, but most of it has to be done by programmers in the end because it depends on unit selections and the player list. The spring.layout would still be used though, but it would contain an empty command menu and empty player list ofcourse.
Spring WILL get CEGUI support at some point, you can be sure of that. CEGUI is basically the only opensource ingame scriptable GUI avaiable, so we have no choice.

Thx again for the compliments,
and the money-thing sounds nice aswell
I just started to fix my new home. It needs total re-painting, re-carpet/flooring, ------- adjustments, and i have to move all my old stuff, and place all the new stuff, also build my-self a game-development studio-thing
.. and so on...
So this will take up 99% of my time the coming 3-4 weeks, but after that i can do some work again...
ice out.. for now..
