The Omen

This movie was GODawful. Ha ha, get it? Get it?

Never mind.

But it was terrible. Really really terrible. I mean it was hysterically funny. I mean me, my friend, my friends sister and my friends mother were all laughing. And its not because I'm an Atheist (you don't need to believe in a premise to like a movie. I mean I don't believe long, cucumber headed aliens that bleed concentrated acid to enjoy Alien) but because The Omen is really terrible.

Why, pray tell, many might ask. For one thing the movie is really over done. There was the 'scooter of death' part, where one of the characters is standing on a chair...watering some roses...ON A THREE STORY BALCONY! Then the Evil Span Of Saten (ESOS) decides to go on a ride on a scooter. And so he's going around and around and around the third story balcony, on his scooter. IN the movie theater I lean over and whisper in my friends ears ├óÔé¼┼ôI wonder what they are doing with this?├óÔé¼┬Ø. He laughs. The music starts playing some really dramatic tone, and its going DUN DUN DUN DUN, and so on.

Then, after prolonging the 'suspense' for about ten minutes the scooter 'accidentally' bumps into the chair and the character falls of the balcony, and after another ten minutes of slow mo falling the character hits the ground. And, hilariously enough, a person right behind me gasps so loud I can hear the three exclamation points. As if she hadn't seen what was going to happen several...thousand...parsecs away!

Now this movie did have ONE creepy scene, and three 'surprising' scenes but nothing really scary. The acting is sub par, the ending is easily guessable by the first...second of the damn movie and the 'bizarre, circumstantial deaths' are laughably funny. Right up to the point of a man trapped in a car, which is about to explode, with his watch counting up until the car explodes, and a split second before that it reads ├óÔé¼┼ô6:06 hours, 6 seconds├óÔé¼┬Ø. Ha. Ha. Ha.

So if you...well...like good movies, don't bother with the Omen. Unless your renting it from blockbuster to make fun of it.

The trailer looks scary. HOLY SHIT, A SMALL CHILD IN RED SITING ON A SWING. HOLY SHIT HE JUST TURNED HIS HEAD! DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN DUuuuuuunn

I actually got quite a many wird looks. But so did my freinds next to me, who were also laughing.
