Ok I haven't messed with too much of the inner features although I got some missing **** errors when i started a match and with the starwars mod it was missing a unit i believe the droid factory. That's all I messed with I have to do some homework.

Sound setup implemented

They should be gone now. 'spring-setup' has an audio configuration menu now which defaults to alsa. Just remove your current workdir, run the latest spring-setup and everything should be fine.

The new spring-scripts-package can be found here temporarily:

ftp://fbo.no-ip.org/t/spring-scripts_1.3-1_all.deb

The real debspring mirror will serve it ~ 14:30 MST.

Hint: Try to use SPDIF output wherever it's possible - it's sounds way better than the analog one.

Hmm ... it works for me - at least I don't see any error messages here. Try to post the steps necessary to reproduce the problem.

The AI doesn't work with the mods or at least the FF mod.

FF-AI-Problem and Ubuntu packages

Post by fbo »

I'm just at the beginning of supporting AIs. AFAIK FF doesn't have any AI support of its own. I read something about FF being usable with AAI. Packaging AAI will be my next bigger project.

BTW: I figured out a way to make ubuntu packages without vmware or xen. Dapper binary packages should be ready by the end of the week.

I was faster than expected :-) . Dapper packages are ready and have been tested by clericvash. debspring ftp will serve the ubuntu package + some minor bugfixes from tomorrow ~ 14:30 MEST.

Ubuntu sources.list-line is

Code: Select all

deb ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/people/fbo/debspring/dapper/ /
See http://fbo.no-ip.org/cgi-bin/twiki/view/Linux/DebSpring for details.

Correct. Currently the ftp server doesn't contain any dapper packages but it will, when its sync-service fetches the repository from my build-pc which is done once a day.

It works great now, thanks for the hard work fbo!

However, would it be possible to give the option to select windowed mode in spring-setup?

That would be a nice option to have!

How about you telling my how you managed to build qspring (didn't find an make file) and I'll include window/fullscreen-selection and qspring into debspring :-) ?

Thank you so much for producing this debs. One thing i noticed is that some (at least one) mods are outdated, and placing the new version on the mod folder doesn't work, it won't recognize it. With the frequency of mod updates, maybe the mods should be removed from the packaging system and instead placed as normal files?
