I remember Jouninkomiko (or whatever his name is
) saying it would be quite impossible to join games after launch. It might not sound that difficult, but think about it: the deformed terrain should be downloaded every time somebody joins the game, which could cause severe lag.
It's a really nice idea though, but I don't think it's feasable.

3 player can play in a team in StarCraft....please check when you said ("It il be the first" "or "no one other.."
I remember a pub of army of exigo wich said "the first RTS where you can battle on multiple front : on the ground and unredgrund" . Grrr
And for joining a game when it has already started. Jonimiuko said that it was impossible. (imagine download a diff file of the deformed map...it could be several mo)

Actually you could turn deformable terrain off and then enable people joining midway, SJ said the network protocol used in spring wouldnt support it and would require a rewrite to support it.
As for downloading a whole map, why not just downlaod a list of explosions with position and strength parametres to recreate the map before entering, during which the game is paused to prevent further explosions midtransfer.

More importantly (
Assuming the FPS mode makes it into the final product, there has to be some sort of "in-vehicle" Heads Up Display.
Now, this doesn't have to be very complicated; all it really needs to do is tell you which way the body of your vehicle is facing, and which way your turret is facing, relative to the body.
Extra things like distances, extra turret windows, etc, aren't realy essential, but I think the ability to put them in (create a custom GUI for FPS mode) should be available.

That pub was a blatant lie. There is for instance Metal Fatigue, an older RTS where you can battle on multiple front: on the ground and underground and in orbit. Off-topic but I hate those adds and reviewers that don't know their stuff.Torrasque wrote:I remember a pub of army of exigo wich said "the first RTS where you can battle on multiple front : on the ground and unredgrund" .

Neutralize is right. You can see it in action in video12 -- the plane in the lower left is not actually your unit, it is a 3rd person representation of the plane that you are flying in the first person. Did that make sense?
BTW Napalm Cobra I like your suggestion for king of the hill, capture the flag, etc. On the request list...
