core contingency trouble

i have the files for CC saved on a disc, and i have the original TA, but i dont exactly know how to "install" CC, i just like extracted them into my ta folder. anyone know what i should do to get it working doh!

it has an installer just like TA. surely you can just use the autorun?

Here's what you do. First, don't try and run it with spring, unless you're daft. This is Spring, not TA, and the files are generally not interchangeable without extensive modification/customization.

Moving right along: the only files you could possibly want from CC are CCDATA.CCX and CCMAPS.CCX. Those are the only files with any content. If you want to play the missions too (not just skirmish maps), get CCMISS.CCX. Copy them all to the folder that has totala.exe in it.

AFTER you've done that, install the 1.x -> 3.1c patch that you can find anywhere.
