..:: Release ::.. Supreme Battlefield

Post by NOiZE »

After aGorms try at this map, i felt it really missed those beaches, so with i tweaked his excellent heightmap, and i also tweaked the metal a bit. Also the map is 32x32. And i will release a "less-lag" 16x16 version sometime soon

I checked those extra screenies, and well, Blue fire? Looks like someone's been playing with the new explosion customizer...

and I know how some people hate it when a map's file-size is complained about, but I'm going to say it anyway:
52Mb? O_o

I know the supreme Commander map looks and is much bigger, but this conversion is good for TA:S

Dr. InfernO's medical advice:
Play it and get insane.

it's a bug in the testinstaller of the next spring version.

For what it looks like I don't think I'd mind a little wait to get the map. :o

This is when I wished I had a better computer so I could make really nice shots.

Anyways, here you are:
The execution:

The battle (apologies for the smallish unit count - about 100 Aks, 75 or so flashes, 25 hawks. My computer could barely handle this, any more and it would have frozen up for a long long while):

And because I've got your attention, a screen forAxis & Allies:Spring, aka 1944.

there is not a lot of metal on the map. metal in the water would help.

Sooo nice. Someone who can run the battle again with full settings (water too) needs to take the shots, so that I can go throwing them around the gaspowered garage... 8)
