Working on a new map..

What do you think of this concept map?

It's fucking ugly, mind you, but it is intelligible(well for me at least)..heheh
In the top right corner there is a waterfall that flows out into a river, and in the lower left the river goes into the mountain. The river would be deep enough for ships to patrol, and also allow amphib units to cross.
The black stuff on the edges are mountains with slopes on each side so that they can be easily traversed. Tanks and other heavies would be able to cross over to the other sides there, making them key points. The idea is that the remaining hills/mountains are too high for kbots to scale, so only air cons have access to the 6 other ones. Tell me what you think, I'm open to suggestions(no, not the dirty kind..). I'm thinking 24x24 size, maybe.

Hmm, it loks a lot like Altored with a river running through it. Nothing wrong with it mind, it just looks a bit samey.

I prefer IceXuick concept drawings. :P

How will make you make the waterfall? Because no matter how you can't do a convincing watefall!

Lol I knew that uneccesary comparison would come up. :P
It's true about the waterfall, it can't be done nicely because Spring only supports water on one level, and texturing water on looks crappy next to the engine water.

Why can't we have dynamic water do the water fall? Wouldent that look SOO cool?

Heh you're stating the obvious. I was thinking of texturing on waterfalls, but this looked odd. This was only eyecandy and not the prime feature of the map, so stop making such a fuss. Obviously the map will play the same with or without a waterfall, a concept map is just that, a concept.

OOOH that map texture is secks-e!

Anyway, I like the lay out make it a 28X28 with fairly shallow crossings and you would have my vote...

Hell, 24X24 would be awesome!

we need real dynamic 3D gushing and splashing water!!

And that alot of wreckage in the river will make the water go around, or even flood a whole base :)
