(hey, watch your language!)who. gives. a. (poop).

I care, because I love giant robots. And I think they should be used, and in my opinion it gives AA a lot of its character. When my friends and I want to play AA, we don't call it AA, but actually call it "giant robots". Just about everyone I've gotten interested in the game has become interested because of the big ol' ludicrous robots. I'd rather not see them hugely nerfed because some people have a difficult time countering them, and I think they add strategy to the game the way they're in now. If you make it so that you can barely ever get to them and nerf them so that when you do get to them, they're useless, then what's the point of even having them in the game? If you make them negligible, then you've just removed an element of AA's strategy, which I think would weaken AA as a whole.
They concentrate firepower more efficiently than T2 units, and are helpful for sieging heavily-fortified positions (hello Catapults, Aegises!). Most importantly, they're fun to use, because who doesn't love stomping giant robots around? What's the point of those units then???

That's why i dislike them!!!! it's a War game, not a mechwarrior game.2pacalypse wrote:

The 15000 metal is costs should make tech 3 more balanced for sure, im not sure how often it will be seen now though as 15000 is a lot of investment for a factory, you could have nearly 15 gollies for that
I killed a razor back with 2 sumos without taking more than a scratch, tech 3 isnt all that powerful really, people should play the game a bit more and they would find decent counters to it.
Snipers also put a seriously big spanner in a mechs works :)
As for the vehicle super factory...
- 3 units max in my opinion
- no atv - this should be kbots little bonus
- the cheapest units should be x2 expensive as its kbot counterpart,
with more firepower and armour obviously.
This should keep with the overall vehicle and kbot balance of cheaper, weaker, faster more manauverable units(Kbot) as a pose to more expensive, slower heavily armoured heavy hitting units (vehicles)
Weeeee!

Snipers and Sumos are wonderful if your opponent starts pumping out light L3 units and just expects you to roll over and surrender. Though most heavy L2 units will do. Or swarms of light L2 units.BigSteve wrote:I killed a razor back with 2 sumos without taking more than a scratch, tech 3 isnt all that powerful really, people should play the game a bit more and they would find decent counters to it.

you best remind caydr not the new L2 anti air kbots in the shipyard while you're at it, just to be on the safe side ^^
well.... yes obviously. Good thing you're here to point us in the right direction, otherwise we could end up with an anphibious vehacle coming out of an aircraft plant! :pL3 veh should include at least one super-amphib. After all, the vehicle lab is the traditional home of the amphib tanks.

Thank you for your insightful commentary. My point was that many people have been listing laundry-lists of units to go in an L3 vehicle lab, but nobody has provided any amphibious units. Particularly, one person was suggesting only 3 units at the l3 V-lab. Hence, I felt I should remind people the importance of including an amphib at the L3 v-lab, since it looked like it might be forgotten.Cabbage wrote:Pxtl Wrote:well.... yes obviously. Anyway, if you didn't write such tripe, i wouldn't be forced show you up now would i? :p
There have been a huge number of silly posts recently, which if they manage to influence caydr would really be quite detrimental to AA. I've not been on for a few days, but your post was the first i saw, and you've made a lot of other silly posts in past before (The vulcan thing?). Some of the ideas being suggested atm really would be quite awful if implimented.
Thats not very nice...dick.

Banshee's are uncounterable. deal with it.
AIR<Banishers
T1 Swarms<Banishers
Heavy (slow) units<Banishers
Medium strength raiders (pyros, freakers)<Banishers
But banishers are expensive and can't attack bases with heavy defenses
