Personally, I hate losing a turret because my damn patrolling repair con got stuck assisting with something. To my mind, I'd like a patrol command that did a,b,c only, but I know most of you will disagree with me there.
Perhaps a group-guard would be the ideal approach - instead of "guard this unit then this unit" do "guard this unit AND this unit". Still, it's not useful for repairing damaged troops that retreat to the defensive line. Imho, repair should always be the top priority
