Oh darn I have no idea what those are or if my computer can use them :(. I really want to host games though since there aren't many available to join when I'm online :?.

is the firewall on the computer or on a router? if it's on a router, just go and set it up to forward port 8452. i believe some firewalls should let you setup ports that you can send data out without being scanned. try hole-punching first though.

or (for a router) you can temporarily set yourself as DMZ host when you want to host a game
