SO...

I'm just goofing around trying to get a rise out of some of the other guys in the lobby, and I get kicked for "blatant racism" because I said the word "neggr" (yes, not even the real "n-word"), in a context having nothing to do with belittling someone else's culture or ethnicity...

Try to get back on, and was like "damn... we got some challanged-ass mods...", intending to continue and point out why it was retarded and superfluous of whoever kicked me to kick me, but... before I could say anything--

Banned: ([EE]Decimator) (reason: I don't like you very much, go away)

So since when is not being liked by someone a bannable offense with no warning, discussion, or explanation? People like this shouldn't have their finger on the button.

Bringing out this sort of thing in public is an asshole thing to do. Odds are there is more to the story then you are telling us.

An asshole thing to do??? Let the mod post the dialogue leading up to my banning... he didn't give me a word's notice or warning and I was not the only one clowning around at all.

What the hell good is PMing a mod who banned me without a second thought because "he didn't like me" going to do? I posted so that all the mods may see the dilemma and help deal with it in a civil and reasonable manner.

I'm not understanding how I'm "whining" or deserve to be ridiculed. TA Spring is a tight-ass game that I was really enjoying until an abrupt banning for no good reason, by a mod who apparently refused to be accountable for any logic at the time. The only instruction I received was "Contact the Administrator" via the connection failure prompt, and I couldn't find anything telling me the most appropriate way to do so, so I posted it here and PM'd the mod...

Do you think moderation staff cares how you spell racial slurs? Do you think the people being ostricied care how the insults are spelled? Our moderation staff has no respect for your pissy technicalities, you were racist, a kick is a warning, so you got warned, and then you bitched at the moderator who warned you. If you don't respect our rules and the reasoning behind them you will be banned and stay banned.

Our #main channel is PG13, the rules there are well posted in the game lobby section of that forum and you agree to our terms of use that states that you will follow our rules and not be offencive on our public channels.

Now, that being said, deci is a nice guy and there is no other moderator in spring that is going to consider unbanning you because of a thread like this where you come and try to smear his name. If an administrator diciplines you you can negotiate terms with him, our policies are very forgiving, but that being said we don't unban anyone who will not take responsibility for thier actions. If you are banned by a moderator that refuses to negotiate with you can contact betalord or zaphod and make an abuse complaint. All bans are required to be reported by the banning admin so we know what is going on and we're not going to let you be bullied by anyone. I'm fairly confidant that that is not the case here however.
