Incorrct Source package

Post by AF »

Twice now I ahve downlaoded the latest sourc fromt he downlaod page to find it's 0.70b1 not 0.71b1.

I keep seeing people mention changes and I look for them and they're nto there, it's getting very annoying, and I'd prefer it if that link where updated, it's annoying having to explain to my sisters that I need to go on after thema dn that they cant close this widnow downloading from the svn. The last attempt to retrieve the svn resulted in code that didnt compile, and the rpevious attempt before that resulted in me almost loosing 5GB of data after it buggered my usb HD ;@

And what am i todo if I want to compile plain ol .71b1? The code isnt available!!!!!!! Even the link to FU shows 0.70b1, where's .70b2/3 aswell?

It seems XE8 will be delayed again while I'm trying to retrieve the svn and recompile so that cheating works again after Zaphod changed the IAICheats class...

Having people use svn to get the source really isn't such a big requirement IMO. I can't help it if you can't get it working.

I'll add source package building to the installer batch file sometime. For now: 0.71b1 is svn revision 1237

Well, we should have tags for releases, which you can check out. Tvo added the tag 0.71b1 today, I think it was forgotten the last time a release was made.

Of course that won't help you with your sisters or failed compiles, but maybe there's another solution for that. But at least the latter can't be helped by not using svn, since the source code in a tags should be the same as the release's code (althought that's not a definite rule).
