You should have created a railway unit and scripted the train so it was pulled around with carriages!

I don't think rails would be easy, it will coallide with the train. unless it's part of the map.

(if you look closly, you'll notice that the weels spin faster the the bar moves.)

no, the rails pickup the train and any carriage units, and then move the units around the track. Ask zwzsg, it's perfectly possible..

I think having rail-as-units that move train around would create more problem than it would solve. First if every section of rail is made of unit, the unit count will skyrock and bring the CPU and GPU to their knee. Then, the rail bits would have to communicate to each other so that each section pick up the train just when the previous drop it, and to all work in moving in the same direction, and that won't be easy at all. Then the enemy would auto attack all of your rail if they are units.

It could be interesting to try, but I'm not sure it's worth it.
