You are disguising the fact that the mobile and stationary lvl 2 artillery in this mod as extreme weapon range, but low refire, so that scouts do actually matter, scince you want all your rounds be right on target.

At least it was that way in the last beta i played.

Level 2 URC are pretty good at messing up GD tanks, especially lvl 1 GD tanks.

tech 2 GD tanks have a minigun which is powerful and a fair chunk of health. up close they pwn like no other, great for assault.
the balance for two sides is sketchy IMHO, if Fang adds a 3rd side (this NI) i think i will kill him!

Well, naturally lvl2 units will kill lvl1s well. The thing is a med cannon tank can kill 2 or more med mechs, at almost the same cost. The lvl2 and 3 laser tanks seem pretty weak though.

Laser tanks are not weak by any stretch of the imagination. However, they do need energy to fire, so are you sure you aren't e-stalling when they start shooting?

As for balance between lvl2 GD and lvl2 URC, keep in mind the climbing ability of the lvl2 mechs and the cloakable mechs at lvl2. They may still be a bit underpowered though. You also have the option of the lvl1 flamer mechs, lvl2 GD tanks are too freaking slow to run away from those things.

Sorry to dissapoint... NI will be added whether you like it or not. THis is not ta. If it was then the sides would be arm and core, but seeings how it's not, there will be a total of 3 sides.

I for one am glad. I was afraid he might decide to ditch NI, considering how little comes to the surface about it.

More Sides = More Variety = More Specific Tactics = Better Games

If you don't Like the Idea of three sides in a game, I'm Sure you could send an Email to CT asking him to remove the Aeon from SupCom. I'm sure he'll understand :D

zoombie, no offense but play the mod before you make judgements. I think that adding a further side will screw the balance up so much -.-

Min3mat, the balance concern with adding the NI is why there will be a public beta release with just GD and URC to balance those two sides together, while NI will be balanced according to the aspects of those two sides in private testing.
