Wow, just what the world needs; another sprite-based classical-period RTS!

As said in the 0AD game FAQ
Is it a 3D game?
We are developing a tailor-made engine, featuring 3D units, buildings, and terrain.

meh, the units look sprite based to me.

Either way, after AOEI, AOEII, EE, Cossacks, Caesar I-III, I am very cautious about RTS's that not only seem to look like all that came before them, but also seem to play like all that came before them.
I mean, why not just go play Rome: Total War?

its all 3D. and yes they all will seem to be identical, one builds an army then goes and attacks another player, thats what one does in an rts.

nah there's something about paris I'm not too keen on. Perhaps Data or Laforge? Maybe even a Borg drone or the queen herself but not paris?!

well i grew up with him, he was in tng when i saw that episode at about age 12 then i religously watching every week voyager because it was so good. although i love all star trek, even the original, voyager was by far the best. i actually waited in anticipation for the next episode...

What about Sheriden! Sinclair! Anyone huh?... every one likes Star trek and no one (exept realy cool people like me) likes Babylon 5... grr.

Also, the game looks neat, but in a rather hypocritical statement, isent this forum supost to be for TA: Srpring and other Springish things. Also, what are the Spring only units/buildings? Or will it just be TA uinits for now

Actually this thread is marked as general discussion therefore we can go as far off topic as we like. lol its because most people have never seen babylon 5 and startrek is everywhere, I myself have only seen about 30 minutes worth of Babylon 5 and never get the chance to keep ti on when I do find it on TV

Well about Babylon5, it ROCKS! SO you sould whatch it. Also i wasthinking that 0AD soundls like a cool game, but iv alwayed liked TA and Rise of Nations better then AOEII and I. So whatch Babylon 5, mainly because one of my favoret charicters is Walter Keoning, and he is way better in Babylon 5 then in Star trek, buecaus in star treak, hes a likable nice guy. In babylon 5 he is a likable evil guy... MUHAHAHAHAHA!

Also, you HAVE to start Babylon 5 from the begining, or else it loses most if not all its impact.
