Lots of money!

Post by Sheekel »

Well, a fellow i sort of "know" online has made me an offer. I can get several hundred if not 1000 dollars a month for cashing checks. This is what he wrote:

"You recieve a $500 cashier's check from PayPal, you cash it, you keep $200, you send $300 to the mailing address I give you. If you follow through, you recieve 1-3 checks a week. In a month's time, you will have ATLEAST $1,000.

If by the slim possibility that the cops (I'm under investigation, that's why I can't recieve the checks in person at the moment) ask you what you're recieving the checks for, simply be honest. Tell them that you were getting paid 40% per check for accepting payments for someone. It isn't illegal, though they will probably ask you to stop sending the money to me if I get caught recieving the cash."

What do you all think? Scam or not?

Um, sounds like a scam... If he wasn't scamming you he wouldn't be offering you money for whatever you're doing.

Don't do this. It's illegal in Germany and probably where you are too. You get illegal money and send more money to someone to lets say in Russia or Nigeria. After this the moneytransfer you originally got is cancelled and you will have spent your well earned quid. And you won't get your money back. Or you could be "washing" illegal money for the godfather. Just don't do it.

That's the other end of it, I can't imagine that the source of this is increadibly ethical... Once again, they wouldn't pay you to do them a little favor, there has to be some catch to this.

Its better to have one of those kookie scams to get quarters that cartoons have. Like a scam lemonade stand, or something. I woulden't trust him/her/it. You can never trust free money! Even the lottery aint free! Even picking up pennyes has a tax in America.

lol i thought its quite clear what's going on?

this is most likely money illegylly obtained from fishing, etc. and you are supposed to commit money laundering.

i dont know about other country, but in germany you will most likely be taken to court if you do that
