Isn't there some support for water that does damage? (For something like the acid maps in OTA) Couldn't you use that for the ground under the crystals? Hmm. I'd have to say I'd rather the game just use big, expensive nanolathe towers (including the start point) as a construction yard. Let the nanotowers build other nanotowers, and have the MCV be a super-expensive vehicle for building new nanotowers. The is just a supernanolathetower.
