I've seen videos of them bleeding live cows to death hung upside down like that. They just grab a razor and puncture the jugular and let the flow fill up barrel after barrel. Apparently it's common practice in the cattle slaugtering industry.

Yes. I mean, if we didn't have slaughter houses, where would the meat come from taht we could conveintly touch on all the good food so taht vegitarians can't eat it?

What I meant to say was, those seals deserved it. They breathe and shit all over the place, increasing global warming. Its a little know fact taht the first expedition to the north pole never returned because they all slipped on seal shit and broke there backs.

Why don't they just shoot seals in the head if they want to kill them so badly? oh wait, that's right, guns are outlawed by the communist state that is Canada, maybe not, but soon anyway with those rampant liberals.

The reason I condemn seal slaughtering is basically because they are killed (and horrifically so) for their FUR not their MEAT, they aren't eaten!

Do you know how fish are killed? If they don't die a many-hour-long death from slow oxygen deprivation, they die when the knife grinds through their spinal tissue. By the way, I'm willing to stake my paycheck on the fact that there are more endangered species of fish (hundreds?) than species of seal (none?). I also bet that theres a few more fish dying every minute than seals. But why should we care about fish, they don't have puppy-dog eyes and soft white fur, so obviously they don't feel pain or terror as they slowly die.

Seal on the other hand are given a single blow to the head, crushing the brain and/or spinal cord, killing the animal instantly. Which is more callous, more inhuman, more brutal? Did you even look at the pictures of cows I posted? I guess they also don't matter - they aren't cute enough. I'll keep on naming animals that are treated inhumanely until the moment they die until you clip

I'm with Caydr on this. Even though I've never been to Canada, or anywhere near it (unless the shitty airport services at Los Angeles count, 1 customs officer for 2 FRICKIN 747'S FULL OF PEOPLE? WTF? Seriously, killing seals with a quick blow to the head is a lot better than some animals die. Turtles are lifted to a height of 50 feet by birds and dropped on to rocks, where they have there insides eaten. 'Tis a slow painful death.

Also, I discard any "Emails from caring strangers" i get, Becuasse half of them are stupid things like "GET THIS SITE CLOSED DOWN"(Like the Bonsai cats website, which was a practical joke) even though the FBI, PETA and other organisatiosn have investigated them, and the other half are things like:

SAVE TEH DAMN "insert animal here" BECAUSE THEY ARE... um... PRETTY, Or something simlar!!!!1111eleventytwelve

Even though that animal just happens to be a pest and happens to eat native species and help make other animals extinct. (some barsted sent me an email saying how I should help save possums. Wtf? Possums eat kiwi eggs, tuatara eggs, any type of bird egg, chews through bark in trees, killing them andws through telephone wires. Great idea dumbass, I might as well pay someone to sprinke Cyanide in a rare bird park feeding trough)

If we're talking about the inuit killing seals in canada then they have been surviving off seal death for generations. Inuits traditionally use seal for virtually everything, they eat the meat, make the fur into clothing, and use the fat for more functions then you would think fat is capable of fulfilling. The current seal hunters are probably alot more wasteful then they used to be but that seems to be the case in every hunting situation around today. In todays sociaty of excess there isn't enough supply in hunting to develop industries around animal processing, and there isn't enough demand in hunted game to use every part of the animals any more.
