I request that a new forum be made within this board for Artistic, marketting, media, renders, the TA unit modeling project and anything else aesthetic that isnt todo with implementing features or changing the engine.

If granted I also request the rights to move threads to the general discussion if they dont fit aswell as the no guest posting rules.

I also request that an addon be made to this forum to allow flash movies in posts.

Yea, anyone want to make a set of 4 "ally state" images like is in the TA battleroom? You know, the one with the two triangles, specifying the state of an alliance between two people. (one has two triangles separate, one has left side moved in, one has right, other has both in middle forming a square.

jouninkomiko, I'll gladly do it, but so will around 3.4 other posters will too, you guys really need a graphic artist, one graphic artist. Someone that will keep a consistent style throughout the entire design process. As having a bunch of conflicting styles from a bunch of different people makes the game look less polished, leading to a general decrease in popularity.

And with such lack of specifics, this is the best I can do.

Neuralize, whilst i agree that having lots of designers will mean a lack of coherancy, i think it would be teribly unfair if there was just one person. I for one would feel incredably pissed off if i found out that only one persons stuff was going to be used. I'd love to do all the work for spring, but im not so big headed not to want other people to do it with me.

What we realy need is a board of our own so that the designers can get to gether to work on a look that fits all and everyones comfotable with. Then we can all join in with it. Also, for instance, we can be blunt with each other, casue non-arty people can often be to nice so even the crap gets called good. Once we have several ideas for whatever that the designers like we can then release them to the public and get them to pick ther favorit and hence we end up with somthing fab.

Just having one is unfair as your stuck with there look and there look only.

I'm non-arty and I know crap when I see it, so stop discriminating against me!

But yes there needs to be a team of designers/artist. Although in the freak incident we get art placed willie nillie it would still be better than one guy making crap exclusively.

I'm afraid your posts are obsolete, this falls udner the umbrella fo the design team I have been settign up.

Yes 1 artist would give coherency but what if it's coherent cr*p? Different people will do different aspect and they will all sit down together and decide on a general theme. Oh wait we're online I meant in some nice cosy thread or chat room

General discussion, news posts, can we add Art/Design to that list?

Ok when I requested an Art/Design forum I did not mean a request list for the admins, though however useful that may be.
The general forum is suffering from overcrowding as it is and the rate at which people post guarantees it'll get fuller and fuller at an alarming rate especially once spring's released. I meant it to seperate Aesthetics, renders etc from the rest of the feature requests and engine talk that we have here, since everything here's sorta blurring from one thread into another.

You could at least christen your new wishlist?

While at the same time utting a stangle hold on our creative minds by forcing us into threads that you have created. The ability and freedom to create our own threads is an important part of discussion, by forcing us to ask you if we can start a thread you are limiting us and intimidating some fo us who would otherwise start thread sitno not doing so. If we have a bloated useless thread we'll denounce it and request it be locked or deleted.

Untill we can start threads the point of an Art forum is usless as it becomes a glorified wishlist for those in power, therefore it is not a forum at all

On the contrary I would have decalred myself controller of the Art forum and demanded that I be given the sole access to thread creation instead of jouninkomiko if that where the case however I was expressing my opinion as to why users should be able to start threads in the Art forum.

After all there is a difference between a demand an order a request and an opinion is there not?

EDIT: Besides as it is there are more Art threads in General Discussions than there are posts in the Art Forum
