I always lost on Red River - but will download it anyway - if it is just to see those Vulcan Fireflowers in my Base :)

I love it. How deformable is the terrain?

A hill souldnt look like a pimple. Basically all the OTA maps ported to Spring have really flat terrain, except for pimple hills. Come on, this map would be good if the terrain looked a little realistic. IM not talking massive hills that hinder base building, but just a small variation to keep it interesting...

To be fair the hills on the OTA map where small even by TA standards.

Actually I think it looks good, however, Noize, you might try using a heavy guassian blur on the heightmap and compiling with the scal of -x 200 -n -100 that should serve it quite well.

Just a thought. Personally I like it. It is very much true to ota, even if ota maps didn't really look right sometimes.

With modifications they're fine, but otherwise they're just bland and ugly.

Well done Noize, looks good (have yet to play a game on it though).
Would it be possible to pack Red River North into Red River (as it uses the same height, metal and texture maps I should guess..) as done in River Dale (which includes Cliff Run, Hill Haven...)? It would be nice to save people the 9 MB download.

That's some serious constructive criticism here :|
Ok it has been established that some people don't like OTA heightmaps, so get over it now and post something that is useful.

I agree.
The map is meant to emulate an ota map in Spring and pulls it off well.
