s3o, in regards to structures and buildings?

Post by Neuralize »

It seems the UVmapping on structures and buildings is flipped, as I have to flip it wrong in Upspring to view it right in Spring. I've noticed this on one s3o that isn't my own, and my own.

Also it seems that s3o structures are not silected by their hit sphere, or mass, as 3do structures are.

Scratch that, the building that wasn't mine didn't work with the selection, however, mine works fine and acts like the rest of Spring's buildings.

This was a problem in a past version, and consequently there were a few models that were released that had all flipped faces so they would render in spring. I'm fairly sure it's fixed now though...

Also, upspring 1.3 has the ability to mirror or flip UVmaps.

Go to Texture mapping>show UVmapping>Edit>mirror/flip

note: think s3os cant be textured per polygon (the old way).

For a unit to show up correctly you need to get him shoiw bugged in upspring.
As mongus said: flip the uv's.
Then the model should look like the bugged one you saw in Spring. Then you're good ^.^

Yes, I know how to provide a quick work around, but the fact is that there is still a bug, which should be fixed so we don't have to flip our UVS every single time. :/
