So it's been half a decade, how's BA doing
I felt the urge to get in some 1v1's and 2v2's in BA after raging for the final time against bomber micro in FAF but it seems like the community is dead?
Who is currently maintaining / running the BA show?

BA is still active, there is currently an 8v8 running on MandoHost. There normally is a big battle daily around this time on week days.

2v2 is the best, 1v1 is a bit too unforgiving for my tastes. Plus 1v1 seems a little more repetitive? and harder to balance out, especially with the relatively small community. I've always felt like I'm in a gap, where no matter who I play against I'll either win or lose decisively, and so it can feel a little pointless. Except recently, I've been a lot more even with the other top level players.

100% can be; i just know for my own experience and speaking (hopefully at least) i could bring some strats back or some “sneaky” plays even.
2v2/3v3 is definitely some of the best game play though for more tech 2/3 even and getting crafty with t2 equipment more or less.
1v1 i have yet to see the old 5mex start on CCR or even the 1mex flea spam quick switch to tanks
even the air start on CCR quick bombers to a tank switch etc. not enough boat 1v1 theres alot of sea stuff thats repetitive/boring but little tricks that seperate upper tier. When i played coms couldnt shoot from under water even, you had to reclaim a ship over you, no water nanos like in BAR little separate things.
Exploding your units up against buildings when you know theyll die before dps killing with shots but if you self D itll do more dmg and kill the building i see it around llts and mexs but even buildings themselves.
Always build your e converters to metal fsrthest in back/isolated because if there in front or even semi mid base and they explode and chain youll go into a massive E stall more then likely and/or M from no conversion. Some of these games too dont forget late game like 10-15mins even to start getting some fleas/scouts and buy some i mean like 10-15 and scout every inch of the map your not having active conflict. Courtache for example is very aggressive with his com 90% games ive watched on youtube of the tourneys
(Ive already studied him haha) and 90% the time he does unguarded expansion with very few llts or wven a con later on coming in and back filling his naked expansion. Naked expand is a risk/reward and often how you can beat upper tier players; he keeps his opponents busy with wuick units and com pushes for expansion leaving aides for naked con expansion. Even 7-10mins in sens like 3 groups of 10 scouts each or 4/5 groups of 6/7 scouts and make him have to look all over the place. Get in behind his E make him stall and push his com hard. Tooooo much hesitation i can 100% say i see though in the more new style play. I really wish i had old replays.
If triton is still around or PinK 8D we played alot in. 2v2 3v3
I floated so to say and was excepted by all the clans but mained XHC and SmuG. LCC, PRO, WarC, teh, Piro, Pink and few others dominated dependent on maps and 1v1-3v3 vs team battle 5-8 per team

Discords awesome i just dont have a functioning computer atm. Im actually not the greatest tech person anymore; when i played i was in 7th grade and stopped around sophomore year of high school. Im 28 now so been a minute

Good observations about Cartouche's playstyle, players could learn from you. Also yes 8d is joining Crown Cup 4 for the first time so the competition will be tougher than ever.

Ares when did you come around? And i have total respect for everyone holding down BA nowadays and who have helped BAR (ive seen there may be rockyness between them) maybe im wrong) i just love to see BA still around wether on one server or another. I never played supreme commander or the original TA always spring RTS.
My highschool friend PRO_Ruben/PRO_Mestizo
You can see him in rANDYs old inevitable annihilation videos in the 1v1s on Brazilian battlefield. He played OTA showed me spring rest was history after loving it, i just had a computer with 1.6ghz single core and 256mb ram and made everyone wait from 1-5mins literally on maps bigger then 16x16. [PinK]Triton sent me More RAM thru the mail actually at one point
Honestly my biggest downfall was teaching people to the point they played better then what i did, id make silly mistakes that id teach/show them how not to make yet id make them and theyd see it on me easily. Love what youre doing with the cups though now. Hopefully can bring more competitive-ness back. Im sure most the moderators arent even around anymore wish i could get my old old account back lmao had over 1500 ingame hours def the 1000 star if i remember correct but i know data was wiped.

Also have alot of map ideas actually, i just made bad maps due to only having Paint/Gimp.
But i plan to get world machine and jump on that. All my maps or on grid paper by hand. Actually drew a few watching all the crown cup replays.
Cartouche reminds me of my play style- sort of on certain maps; ive just seen a few things id try on him. But i give him his aggressiveness hes very confident. Microing though. Smaller sub lines/groups split pushes. Alot of these thud games theres no rockos mixed in....why??? Rockos are 100% the llt woodpecker. Keep rockos moxed in with thuds so llt walls dont get put up.
And i dont see constructor/commander co-pushes as much, super small maps (cooper hiils) do an aggressive style like cartouch with the 20 peewees, keep opponent busy, do like a 10/1/1/5/1/5/1/10
Peewee/rez/con/peewee/rez/peewee/con/peewee
Keep busy, send rez for there side of map rocks, con out on lab, nano build with com, while con keeps lab going, once nano up send con for side mexs and com push hard. Second rez for m/e . Second con rush up to com and build GLT the green one, middle hill, lock down middle. And if youve kept opponent from expanding, your already solid more nano/thud quick quick production over within 7. No need for VeH switch. And 2v2/3v3 the share bars are way under utilized... should be at 75/80% this way theres more eco being equally distributed will cut down on “independent” stalls. As long as you work solid on eco as a team it has more benefits. Also 1v1 more eco storages... alot of dgun stalls ive seen leading to over committed coms or people thinking they can dgun then there in cold water after 2/3dguns. Need to be able to get 6 off no problem in quick situations

I joined about 2011, rocko fell out of the meta outside of utility role and maps with linear fronts. Fonzie woke everyone up to peewee meta and Cartouche often favours core kbot pure for ak. Rocko is mostly just for utility and rocko matchups, although you do still see it on small maps. Flash makes rockos work in team matches and is probably the best rocko player. It's a specialist with super low dps so most people prefer anything else where possible because ak/pw are pure dps and thud is great for assault, its also easier to use other options, whereas rocko does need a lot of extra apm babysitting for rezzer repair and micro.

Agreed. Rockos though are the line breakers if used right; idk what the average apm is anymore. Ya core became a hard meta but fleas are arms secret weapon along with nuke bombers. Nuke bombers became a big thing for us back then. Pure rockos are very few maps often a 2-1/3-1 thud/rocko or rocko/peewee.
Dang right after i stopped, really was 2009ish checked back in 2010 was slower and just got into LoL and other games. Awesome to have you holding it down
