[solved]Can't click on map

I think this might be a BA issue but I'm not sure.

I was playing a game last night when I gave my commander an order to reclaim. When I clicked to reclaim, the screen darkened, and the command didn't follow through. I tried to drag a circle, and that gave me the info about how much metal etc. that I would reclaim, but no command was sent. I then realised that I couldn't send any order to any unit - Basically I couldn't play. At all. I couldn't even select units apart from the ctrl-c/ctrl-b shortcuts. I could select commands, play with the widgets, just not click on anything on the map.

• What I have tried
• A different engine/game version. I first encountered the error in spring 103 and BA 9.41, using Spring Lobby 0.248. I tried spring 100 and BA 9.33, and the issue was still there.(never tried another lobby version)
• A new mod altogether: I had no issue in planet annihilation with spring 100.
• coming back to 103 and 9.41: issue seemed to still exist
• reloading LuaUI and resetting LuaUI, and even disabling all widgets that I could: didn't help
• changing view: I tried changing to different cameras: total war, overhead, first person, spring style cameras, but all of them had the same issue.

Any ideas?

EDIT: I think I've worked something out, and have a couple of screenshots that may be of use in diagnosing the issue.

It must be some kind of widget that's behind all other widgets or something. I can't move it out of the road, because it pops back. I believe it's a widget because I can move it under LuaUI tweak mode. See the screenshots.

FURTHER EDIT: I've now fixed the problem, by acutally disallowing all widgets this time. Not sure what I did last time, but it certianly didn't work. Then I reset widgets to default. But I still want to work out what triggered what widget in the first place to block my screen. any ideas? I didn't allow any widgets before this happened so have no idea what's happening here. I've gone and turned all widgets I had on back on too, and the problem still isn't there.

You're in LuaUI Tweakmode. You can edit the gui stuff in tweakmode. YOu reach tweakmode by pressing ctrl+f11. You can exit it by pressing esc.

Enable widgets and don't press ctrl+f11 anymore

No. I wasn't in tweak mode. Look at the screenshots. In the one of them I was out of LuaUI tweak mode. I still couldn't click on the map. And if you look at the second one, where half of the screen isn't as dark, you can see that I've dragged something out of the way. I don't know what it was, but it was an overlay. Also, tweak mode isn't something that spring remembers you were in. (I have tried this). I originally thought it was tweak mode, but that can't be what it is. Because I couldn't drag around the elements. And then I could turn tweak mode on.

And I got it working now, with all my widgets on, in case I didn't articulate myself properly before. I dont' want to include the [solved] though because the issue is still somewhat there. As in, I don't know what caused it. But should I?

I can see a red bar just above the darkened layer @ 2nd screenshot. I ' m not sure about it but I' ll investigite if it' s BA' s ecostats widget causing this.

Maybe a remnant of ecostats former advanced team stats details panel is still there.
