Spring.exe crash after 5 sek

Post by elektron39 »

Hi, on my new win 10 does not work spring . After 5 seconds a Windows message comes. spring.exe no longer works. Close the program. This also happens when you start the Spring.exe directly and does nothing . This happens with all Spring versions. Even with a new installation v100. The AMD Crimson 16.7.2 driver is new.
Thank you for help

Can you translate that message?
The infolog you linked is not complete as you can probably see, it seems cut off. This might indicate that the program didn't crash, but hanged and was stopped prematurely.
Newest Spring is 102.

Translate the Windows standart Message:
spring.exe no longer works
The program does not run correctly because of a problem.
The program will be closed and they will be notified when a solution is available.

With 102 it´s the same. Start spring.exe. 5 seconds are all ok. Then black background and Windows report a Problem with Spring.exe
What is the Reason for the "crash/stopp/hang"?
What are the next analysis points?

OK, thanks for the translation.
It's important to get the full infolog before we can deduce anything. Can you try this: https://springrts.com/wiki/Infolog.txt# ... logfile.3F ?

as infolog.txt is cut off its very likely a very bad crash in the gfx driver...

try to reset config / safemode.

It works again
There were fore Windows UPD`s (KB3173428, KB3172985, KB890830, KB3174060) and AMD UPD (Plays.tv)
I'm so happy. I love the game :-)
