you are uncalled offensive to me, and you make no point or sense.
actually DOING something
suit yourself.

Swiftspear, i dont see that "vendettas" you are talking about.

If you refere to me being a bit harsh to you and abbel,
well, its not bc i hate you, no way, but i recall you (your posts) being misleading.. or offtopic.. or.. mistaken many times..

All that is human, (maybe im even more wierd and clueless), but it makes me try to put a "hold" on that.. It sucks when threads go from one interesting subject to the most random and useless directions (as abbel comment there).

as an example, i can recall you saying bombers where useless, in the (now dead) xta balance thread, what, imo, is totally mistaken, but you were very certain of such. :|

So, its not vendettas, but try no to hurry into posting things that may fall in random stuff.

I think im very direct when that happens in a thread im posting. I spect equal treat.

I have'nt noticed much of anything, aiside from the useual greatness hidden by a myriade of spelling errors and plot holes in AF's posts, and some random snipeing by DB (what is up with that baby, man?). Otherwize all seems to be shipshape.

Then again i have been proven countless times to not be the most perceptive of people. Like that time i was run down by a visious parked car....

Whats the problem with just deleting useless flame posts?
They are essentially spam, so they may as well just go.

Mong, like I said before, it's not flaming to state your opinion, even if it's wrong. I don't really have very strong opinions about XTA right now because I play more AA, but back in the day I felt bombers were useless, I had my own reasons for beliving that, and I was entitled to my opinion. I never asked anyone to agree with me simply because I stated it, but I said it because I belived it to be true based on gameplay experiance, which I might add, was fairly high level at the time...

You can't execpt pepole to get along. The world dosen't work that way.

I like the forum as it is now. Sure, it's uncontrolled, sloppy, spammy and with lots of the things that everyone depises, but thats what makes it diffrent. More... alive. An online forum needs confilc, and will have confilc, just like the real world. Regulation suck. One of my favorite forums died to me because it was all to tense and uptight. Admins would be the first to complain about spelling, minor flames would be perma-ban material and 2-3 posts would be made commeting on the dubble post someone did.

Anarchy is awesome.

Edit: To bad some dosen't agree.http://taspring.clan-sy.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=3889

Oh well, TOTAL anarchy may not be a perfect solution either. Balance. yea... balance.

Yes, I'll be removing spam posts and flames when it's appropriate.

Also: it looks like I won't be banned for the time being :P

That being said, please no more backseat moderation and "I would vote for x person to be banned" posts. We have forum moderation now and we will be getting more in the future, so e-status competitions and smear votes are just going to get people mad at eachother and start flame wars, let us handle it.

kixxe: Hopefully we won't have to kill the fun out of the forum, but we're gonna try to add a little structure and make it a bit more of a safe place from bullying. Alot of people have been complaining about flaming recently and the last thing we want to do is become such a hellhole that people leave the comunity in frustration. That being said, I'm not going to ban you unless you prove to me that you willfully disregard our rules and the authority of our moderators. I expect the people here to hold themselfs with a bit of respect and maturity.

Would you mind calling up the thread where I call myself the king of anything at all? How about just one where I demonstrate a haughty attitude?

A thousand apologies for making the mod that three quarters of this community plays. Where do you get off saying I don't have any knowledge of 3D design? What you call waste I call detail, and I've proven a dozen times over that the detail I put into my models has no impact on game performance. Maybe you've forgotten about this? It's the thread where I hand your ignorant ass to you on a silver platter: http://taspring.clan-sy.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=3662

I've forgotten more about modeling than you'll ever know. I make industrial, semi-realistic-looking ships rather than something you'd find in a childrens' colouring book. And yes, I know precisely shit about textures - this is a fact I've stated a thousand times over. Do I really need to repeat myself like this every time you feel like making an ass of yourself?

Well, thats certainly a trick question, cadyr :D (think about the 2 possible interpretations)

(that part of the rant was targetet at those "uv-mapping is unlogical and everybody who like it is an idiot" topics you started back when s3o was implemented)

But well, thats ancient history, and the only thing worse than starting flamewars is reviving old ones, especially because its no longer relevant, so i rest my case.

I started a single topic requesting that it be possible to use more than one texture per object. I called nobody an idiot, and if I called it illogical I stand behind that statement even now. Frankly even now I'd like it if multiple textures per unit was possible, but obviously I'm willing to work around it.

Take it to PM guys, this isn't an appropriate public discussion. I'm locking this thread until someone can give me a good reason to reopen it that doesn't include getting in the last word on a flame war.
