Vote block should not count votes failed cuz of delay-expiration

Post by SolaEvoli »

Vote block should not count votes failed cuz of delay-expiration.
  • It is only OK to block a "!map OtherThanDSD" vote if players actually voted NO for it.
Also it says it is blocked until next game (after some game has finished).
  • If I block most common votes on an empty and leave, I could troll players joining it later?
  • If players leave and others join, should the vote still be blocked? I think no. But it could remember votes of voters and do a check if it would fail if all vote as they did before.

If you are talking about spads autohosts: there is a setting called minVoteParticipation: http://planetspads.free.fr/spads/doc/sp ... ticipation

"This is the minimum percent of voters that must have voted manually for a poll to be taken into account by SPADS."

If there is some vote blocking, it's not done by the default spads programme but by a plugin, and so can vary from autohost to autohost.

I have implemented some vote blocking on the semprini and berries autohosts, but it should work about as you describe, namely it requires a certain amount of manual votes and the block lapses after 30 mins instead of after next battle. Also, votes can only be blocked by voting, and if you are alone in the battle room you are not required to vote, but all your commands will pass directly.
Also it says it is blocked until next game (after some game has finished).

Also, usually if the battle room is empty for a while the settings will usually be reset.
