Can we please get this option? Where you can set the max players per team to one but then a max number of players per team and balance autobalances to commsharing.
This would be really nice, so you could have like a 4v4 room but only for commsharing and stuff like that.
Balance to commsharing teams?

Re: Balance to commsharing teams?
Unless I didn't understand your request, this is already possible since very first SPADS public release which is 7 years old (cf nbTeams, teamSize and nbPlayerById settings documentation).
Did you try setting nbTeams to 2, teamSize to 1 and nbPlayerById to 4 for example? (be sure to have idShareMode setting set to default value "auto")

Yes, it's possible, some years ago there was a BA host that did it.

Re: Balance to commsharing teams?
Thanks. I had no idea this was a thing. Does !balance function properly with it as well?
Re: Balance to commsharing teams?
Yes of course, as you can see in !balance command documentation:
"!balance - balances teams according to current balanceMode, nbTeams, teamSize and nbPlayerById parameters"
"!balance - balances teams according to current balanceMode, nbTeams, teamSize and nbPlayerById parameters"
Re: Balance to commsharing teams?
I just want to add that it's possible to customise the balance function as well, so a lot of things can be done.
I think the larger problem is that nobody knows about what can be done, or how to use all these things. I think that's mainly because it all works on "command line", very few users have the energy to learn how to use the spads command line. So I think the best solution would be to make a graphical interface to these all comands, like the spring weblobby once did.
