Springlobby issue with Chicken Defender mode

Post by otyugh »

Heya,
I've this difficulty in Springlobby to set up a game as host in the Chicken Defender mode because I seem not able to set a "spawn" location for the chickens. Always end up in a mess. Any solution I didn't found using Springlobby ? (and searching the net :s)
"Set pos. before game" seem not to work. I really don't know how to set up a "spawning area" spot. Could you hint me ?

It's the start box of the ally team that contains the chickens team. Drag a box on the map to place start boxes in single player / hosting mode.

If you tell us which game you are playing chickens with, I can move this post into the right forum ;)

Well he's obviously playing chickens with Balanced Annihilation, it's the only game that has chickens—that I'm aware of.

Of course people have started using chickens as a synonym for every possible 'tower defence' game, but:
— BA has chickens
— TechA has robots
— XTA has fleas
— Zero-K, NOTA and S44 probably have their own stuff, I'm curious what they are...

Fwiw: Zero-K has chickens. Robot Defense is built on Chickens and shares much of the same code. BAR contains a minor variant of BAs Chickens. NOTA has spacebugs, XTA has fleas, although in both cases the gadget is named "Chicken Spawner" and has description "Spawns burrows and chickens".

(I know all this because I am wip for BAR at modularizing the chickens gadgetry into saner code.)

not possible to make startboxes in singleplayer-mode of springlobby.
play "online" with passworded room:
go to Map tab, set startposition mode to "chosoe ingame", paint boxes with left mousebutton.
