Ally resource bars - pimped

Post by Floris »

Took the widget version that ships with BA, so it doesn't show the little red overflow indicators.

20 march:
  • sorting players like advplayerlist
  • shows yourself too, extruded a bit to the left
  • rounded corners
  • textured bars
  • inactive (not dead) display with a smaller square
  • smaller bar sizes
25 april:
  • auto scaling according to resolution
  • now keeps relative screen position in %
  • on hover info text enlarged and clarified
  • no rounded corners where it touches a screen border

Removed the background highlight behind your own bars, didn’t like the visual clutter it introduced.

This is nice, give a modern look to our old resources bars.

You should also be aware of the xta fork of this widget, it looks like this:

Of course what design is beautiful also depends on the design of that game's other widgets, but it would also be interesting to compare the performances of these. So if someone wants to further fork this widget, it may be preferable to save some time and fork a more recent version, because they should also perform better.

Of course they are all based on the brilliant initial version by manoa :)
