I just wanted to ask the devs that has been here for a long time:
Who was first in implementing area commands (reclaim etc):
Spring, this one SupCom mod or maby some 3rd party?
I would really like to know that :)

Re: Area Command history
Spring.
The oldest source files under version control are dated to May 2005 and already contain code for area repair/reclaim/load/attack/etc. Those correspond to Spring 0.41 which preceded SupCom by two years.
And just in case you're wondering, the same is true for megazoom.

Re: Area Command history
Spring had pretty free 3D camera but was the part about megazoom where the units turn into icons not inspired by a SupCom pre-release video?
At least here it is called "SUPCOMSTYLEZOOMTHING" http://springrts.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=91525#p91525

Re: Area Command history
-and then that guy came out of nowhere- christ tailor or something was the name. Said he would make us big, make us famous - took the game, made screenshots, and basically made a 2d Version- travelled, sold it, called it Total Annhilation. True Story.
