Because of the way metal is done, I don't think Core Prime works (plus its probably copyright or something).
I think that the new 'metal rich' map should be a volcanic one, like Barathrum.

Yes, Im affraid it does work. Youd just make the metal map all metal, so that metal is everywhere. The only problem may be that the height map may be smothed out a bit by the engin as it takes each pixle as a point and pust a vertex beween them. However if it puts a curve betwwen them it may look odd. (I dont know how it makes it, if it just puts a vertex in tahst straight then were all set for some realy cool metal maps... If not they may look a little warped)
