Intense Glitchy-ness

Post by Sheekel »

Just played a game of 4v4 on Greenhaven, started to notice some weird stuff. it wasnt lag, the game was played perfectly, but there were lots of messed up nano-streams that went everywhere. Not the kind you get with lag, but literally there was nano going all over the place. Trees that blended together into one...here are some pics:

Some blended trees, and the ones with the green lines...thats nano...

it was really weird, pretty sure it wasnt lag though

Is your graphics card ok? I've never seen or heard of anything like this...

Looks like the lines the Central Build AI draws, but you dont have anything selected so it cant be that...

Did you have any AI's running at all?

I've actually managed to corrupt the running memory of TASpring a couple times during loading, but not during actual gameplay. Most likely, an error in logic at one point of the program began propagating and just produced those odd effects. Be happy, I suppose, that you didn't outright crash. I'm not quite sure what could even create those particular lines, but my initial guess would be memory corruption - if you could reproduce it that'd be much more helpful.

I looked at the video you posted. I looks kinda a little bit like what happens to HL2 and its mods for me after I play for a while. The models all get corrupted and start shifting round in weird places.

clicky:

I've seen similar things to that when people have overheated graphics cards. Try opening your PC up and checking that your cards fan isn't clogged with dust. =P
