Post by mother »

I just had a post in game-lobby disappear...
Absolutely nothing to indicate it used to be in the thread.

What is going on with these forums?

Edit:nanobots with attitude....

i had some problems with the forum too.
I wrote a complete article and when i send it, only some parts were posted, or sometimes i wasnt able to post anything.
Something with the forum is working wrong... perhaps someone should create some new nanobots, the old ones seem to be bitchy ;)

Me too - the end of a couple of my posts got chopped off when I first posted them - I had to use "Back" on the browser to copy the full text, then Edit the post and paste it back in again, and again and again until it finally worked.

I've also had a problem where I couldn't submit a vote to a poll - I clicked on it OK, but the page never updated, my browser just kept waiting for it to come back. Revisiting the page still shows the voting options, making it clear that the server didn't receive my vote.

Finally I've also had problems with the search facility recently. I haven't managed to successfully search for anything. Instead, after a long time the search page comes back with no results and no fields filled in.

I figured it was just me, but maybe not!

well, phpbb is rather teh suck. go here: http://myupb.com for a healthy, free, alternative. (It's not made to use sql though)

Myupb is geared towards a specific audience. Particularly for people who don't have access to sql on their web hosts, or people who simply prefer an easier to use bb software that has the functionality that they need.

Course, I'm the vp of the company/project, so I'm somewhat biased ;p

This site problem is getting ridiculous, we either need to send fnordia new cpu's to help deal with the apache service spiking at 100% cpu problem or find some other solution.

These forums are so screwy. I get php errors all the time... for instance today while trying to upload an avatar from another website...

Code: Select all

Unable to upload file

DEBUG MODE

Line : 249
File : usercp_avatar.php
