The clunk of the keyboard adds character to the computer. I dont think I could live with a silent one. It just wouldnt feel right.

Lets face it the slowest part of a keyboard is you.. the distance covered by a keypress. I use a logitech flat keyboard, I dare say my wpm has increased 5-10.

Meh totally agrees. Plus, ur wrists are twisted less, and you don't have to push the buttons this hard, so there's some less chance of getting RSI. Kinda important for me, expecting to spend a lot of time behind a keyboard in my future life :)

Same here, slave to the machine.. Honestly the only thing I had to get used to was the fact that it felt like my hands were on the table and not on a key board. Not alot there, and now to be honest, I HATE using regular keyboards. They feel like the old ibm "clack clack" keyboards of old compaired to this guy.

What's with all the nub boards posted in this thread? To this point, Mother is the only person here with the right idea.
I don't have a Model M myself, but if I may say so, my keyboard matches it. Quake with ph34r in the presence of my NorthGate OmniKey Ultra T.

This keyboard is made of Steel, has buckling-spring keys, an extra set of function keys (117 total) on the side, and could probably kill a horse.

Hey dont knock them. Not only do they work reliably, they can be used in self defence. Plus, they give your fingers more excersize as you have to press harder to get the keys to go down.

Emergency boat anchor... Self Defense... AND the best damn keyboards to boot.

Any reason we're still discussing it? ;)
