meh its just game feel mostly. So ill give up on blackened terrain, but i still would like fog of war where it darkens what you do not see, as i found it a bit odd to have enemies appear on the wall of what i could not see with no indication of where that wall is.
But randomly generated maps would own so much. For efficiency they would have to operate on seed numbers so a large communication between players computers is not required. Ill pick up the mapping and try to see if i could figure somthing out along those lines.

The fog of war issue has been going on for a while, and has even made it into the 'Monthly Topic Rotation'. This might be able to be fixed with the los dependant terrain rendering that i suggested, but dont count on it.
