What are you talking about? Of course lava exists:

lava /ˈlɑːvə/
n
magma emanating from volcanoes and other vents
any extrusive igneous rock formed by the cooling and solidification of molten lava
Etymology: 18th Century: from Italian (Neapolitan dialect), from Latin lavāre to wash

It's pathetic to play the report card for something that clearly wasn't trolling. Language like that isn't helpful for creating a nice online experience for users in this forum.

You may recall that the soundhitdry|wet is an implementation of ota-tags soundhit and soundwater. You could also create a ceg class for sounds, but why not use stuff that's already present? Well, I wish to inform the gentlemen that there is also a soundlava tag that could be implemented.

Alternatively, you could lua it, but if you do that, then why cannot you also lua the part that was asked in
question 2c) is this more about if a unit is IN water or ON land?
?

Woot good job jools, you are NOW derailing my thread.

1) spring has water and ground. Defined by Y coordinate.
2) springs water can have damage. That doesn't mean lava, it could be ACID.
3) springs "lava" maps use lua to render false lava on water with damage.

Lava and lava worlds and how they are handled are MODULE SPECIFIC things that need to be handled on MODULE basis.

What I am asking about are the SPRING TAGS that we as content developers can only step around by not using them and playing these sounds via a gadget.

Your lava rant has nothing to do with my questions which have to do with reaching a better understand of what these SPECIFIC TAGS that DO exist in the engine are for. You are derailing the thread into a side discussion for your own amusement when we were ACTUALLY HAVE A PRODUCTIVE CONVERSATION. Which is trollish!

It has NOTHING TO DO WITH MY QUESTION! Do not try and alter the truth to dodge the reality.

would a moderator please split this bullshit session out of thread?

Look at you breaking the rule. You are derailing the topic and now are engaging in backseat moderation. It was a useful discussion you are now having a meta discussion because you feel you should be permitted to derail my thread.....
