New game: Command & Conquer: action

Id like to announce production of my new game titled Command & Conquer: action(title not final).

As the name implies it is based on C&C and red alert. However currently base building is not supported and combat takes place with a number of units and support powers from crates.

Its a one man project and will likely stay that way.
Work has gone pretty well so far, with some minor difficulties as one should expect but smooth all in all.

Feel free to ask question or make suggestions.

Instead of naming it this, why not give it you own name? Just because you are inspired by something does not mean you need to use it's name. Also copyrights etc

Im terrible with names thats why.

Il try to think of a different one but this is gonna take me a while for sure.

Cold War a `la Cuba
The bear ate the eagle
Call of Communism
Red button chess
Red Raiding Hood

Also welcome to the comunity.. and there is allready a red alert inspired mod out there -

Do we get hot chicks for the vidya sequences?

Cool, welcome to Spring!

Did you assign any textures to those units in your moddb screenshot? Because they seem to be all team colored. Remember that the alpha (transparency) channel of texture 1 specifies where teamcolor will be applied. If the texture image used does not have any transparency or alpha, it will be set to solid 255, thus putting team color everywhere.

Well it really is meant to be hardcore true to C&C with some logical assumptions,

I have not yet applied UV maps or textures and yes its all team color.

Don't use the command and conquer name. If your game ever gets noticed by anyone you'll get a C&D.

Right now, the name is an easy thing to change. Don't wait until you are balls deep in marketing to get a C&D and have to rebrand EVERYTHING.

Nice to see some new blood!

Im not really concerned much about cease and desist, there is tons of games and mods with command and conquer in the title, atleast as long as i dont make money of it.

Besides even if there aint much to rebrand, id rename the moddb page and make a post here and that would be about it.
The bigger copyright infrigement is that i still use the sounds from C&C.

I found a name i could rename it to, but im still thinking about alternatives.

Possibly of interest, a group of people wanted to make their own Dune game, and suddenly after quite a bit of time working on it bam! C&D.

So now they call themselves Nodu (Not Original Dune Universe), in NOTA's fashion. Oh, and also their desert planet has humongous tank-eating snails.

TL:DR owning your own game matters, even if it's just renaming your vampire to Orlok.
